EARMA Early Stage Research Administrators Masterclass!



The course is designed for people who have recently moved into research administration (RA) roles, with 0-4 years’ experience. RA roles can be in central support units, in faculties/institutes or within specific funded projects. The aim of the course is to empower research administrators to undertake the new role with confidence, to present career pathways and give the participants an appreciation of the full research lifecycle and related service tasks. The course covers research funding widely, going beyond European Union funding, and it will be delivered and facilitated by experienced research managers and administrators.


Duration and venue (15-16 Nov 2018):


1.5 days (full day Thursday 15 Nov, half-day Friday 16 Nov) in Brussels, Crowne Plaza Brussels – Le Palace, Rue Gineste 3, 1210 Brussels, Belgium. Voluntary pre-course networking cocktail event is available on Wednesday evening, and course dinner is on Thursday evening.


Method:


Interactive workshop. Short lectures and case studies are followed by interactive exercises, discussions and peer-to-peer learning. Participant number is restricted 30 people.

Course material will be available in electronic format in the beginning of course.

Certificate:
